Private Tour Guide in Slovenia: What to Expect
Understand guide-only service, plan a realistic day and check transport, admissions and meals before booking a private guide in Slovenia.

Decide whether guide-only service fits your plans
A private guide can help connect the places you visit with Slovenia's history, geography and everyday culture. Vitamia's guide-only service is intended for travellers or organised groups arranging their own transport and wanting professional guiding for an agreed programme of up to nine hours. The current group price is shown on the service card. Compare its inclusions with those of a named day trip before choosing.
Agree on interests, language and pace
Start with what your group would enjoy understanding, rather than a list of every place you hope to reach. Tell Vitamia your preferred language, group size, meeting point and available time. Mention walking limitations, children's needs or particular interests before booking. A programme built around architecture and town life will feel different from a day focused on landscapes or historical events, even within the same region.
Know what the guiding fee covers
The guide-only service covers professional guiding for the agreed day, up to nine hours. Transport, a driver, attraction tickets, meals and other additional costs are excluded. Where the group has a meal, the group provides the guide with the same meal. Keep these arrangements explicit when comparing the total cost of your day. An attraction's own admission or specialist visit is not automatically covered by booking a private guide.
Arrange transport and a realistic route
If the programme involves travel between places, arrange a suitable vehicle and driver separately. Confirm where the guide will join and where the day will finish. Leave time for traffic, walking between stops, meals and breaks. A guide's presence does not turn an overfilled route into a comfortable one. Select the visits that matter most and consider an alternative if weather affects an outdoor part of the plan.
Check the booking details before paying
Use the service page to review the current price, available booking options and stated inclusions. Confirm any attraction reservations separately, especially when admission uses timed entry. Read the linked booking and cancellation terms before payment rather than assuming another operator's policy applies. If your intended group, language or programme does not fit the displayed options, contact Vitamia to clarify the arrangement.
Leave room for conversation
A private day works best when there is time for questions and small observations along the way. Explain what you already know and what you are curious about. You do not need to fill every pause with another attraction. A well-paced programme gives the guide room to connect individual places into a clearer picture of Slovenia, while allowing the group to enjoy the day comfortably.
